Mystery writer Benoit talks noir at Eastman screening
ROCHESTER — Mystery writer Charles Benoit will help George Eastman House, 900 East Ave., continue its film series Thursday that celebrates the stylish crime dramas that defined film noir.
Benoit, a Rochester native and Edgar Award-nominated writer, will talk about the film noir genre long-associated with the detective movies of the 1940s and 1950s and writing noir fiction as part of the evening which begins at 7 p.m., and includes a screening of "Dark Passage." Benoit will also answer audience questions and sign copies of his books.
